Welcome to Community Counselling & Wellbeing with Jules Allan.

A place to slow down. A place to be heard. A place where you are accepted.    A place to reconnect with yourself.

Hello, I'm Jules.

I'm a Professional Integrative Counsellor, Coach, Wellbeing Facilitator, and Somatic IFS informed Trauma Therapist in training, working in a trauma-sensetive and informed, neuro-affirming, body-affirming, and inclusive way.

I know that reaching out for support can feel like a big step. My hope is to offer a space where you can arrive just as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out or to be anything other than yourself.

Together, we can gently make sense of what's happening in your life, at a pace that feels safe and manageable for you.

For over 30 years I've worked in community wellbeing, the creativity industry, inclusion, and accessible projects. Becoming a counsellor felt like a natural continuation of this work, allowing me to offer people a deeper space for reflection, healing, and personal growth.

I understand personally that healing isn't about becoming someone different. It's often about slowly learning to meet yourself with greater compassion, understanding, and acceptance.

My practice is grounded in warmth, authenticity, curiosity, and compassion. Alongside my professional training, my own lived experience of neurodivergence, burnout, chronic health challenges, trauma, and life transitions has deepened my understanding of how important it is to feel truly seen, understood, and accepted.

Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, navigating a difficult chapter in your life, or simply longing to reconnect with yourself, you are very welcome here.

Perhaps you've been holding everything together for a long time.

Maybe you've become so used to coping, caring for others, pushing through, or putting your own needs to one side that you've almost forgotten what it feels like to truly slow down.

You might be navigating burnout, anxiety, neurodivergence, chronic health, difficult family relationships, grief, trauma, or simply feeling that something isn't quite working anymore.

Perhaps you've spent years trying to understand yourself, reading the books, listening to the podcasts, researching as much as you can, yet still find yourself wondering why some things feel so hard.

If any of this feels familiar, you're not alone.

The people who choose to work with me are often thoughtful, caring, and compassionate people who have spent much of their lives looking after everyone else, trying to keep going, or feeling they have to cope on their own.

My hope is to offer a space where you don't have to do that anymore.

A space where you can slow down, feel heard without judgement, gently make sense of your experiences, and begin reconnecting with yourself with greater compassion, understanding, and care.

One-to-one counselling

Perhaps you've been carrying a lot for a long time.

Maybe you've been looking after everyone else, pushing through, masking how you're really feeling, or simply trying to get through each day.

My Counselling sessions offer a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and gently reconnect with yourself.

You don't need to have the right words or know exactly where to begin. Together, we'll move at a pace that feels right for you, making sense of your experiences with curiosity, compassion, and care.

My approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and trauma-sensitive, always centred on creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, accepted, and supported. My hope is that counselling becomes a space where you can reconnect with yourself, build on your strengths, and begin to move towards a life that feels more aligned with your needs, values, and capacity.

Specialised Therapy work - Somatic and Internal Family Systems

Sometimes we can understand something with our minds, but our bodies are still carrying it.

If you've ever found yourself thinking, "I understand why I feel like this, but I still can't seem to change it," this way of working may resonate with you.

Somatic Therapy and Internal Family Systems (IFS) offer a gentle, compassionate approach to exploring the connection between your mind, body, emotions, nervous system, and the different parts of yourself. Rather than trying to fix or change you, we slow down, listen with curiosity, and begin to understand what your body and inner world may be trying to communicate..

Together, we work at a pace that feels safe and manageable, helping you build greater self-understanding, nervous system regulation, self-compassion, and a deeper sense of feeling at home within yourself.

 One to One Coaching

Coming Soon – Coaching

I'm currently creating a new coaching offer for people who are ready to gently move forwards after a difficult chapter in life.

Rooted in the same values as my counselling work, this approach will be gentle, collaborative, neuro-affirming, and focused on helping you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and self-compassion.

More information will be coming soon.

Resources

Coming Soon!-This space offers a growing collection of blogs, articles, resources, and links that may support your wellbeing, self-understanding, and healing journey. Here you will find reflections, practical information, and signposts to organisations, books, podcasts, and websites that I have found helpful in my work and personal experience. My hope is that these resources offer gentle support, encouragement, and a reminder that you do not have to navigate life's challenges alone.

You are welcome here just as you are

Life isn't always easy. Sometimes we can find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, anxious, disconnected, or simply carrying more than we realise.

If you're here, perhaps you're longing for a space where you don't have to keep holding everything together.

My hope is to offer just that.

A warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth space where you can bring whatever is happening in your life, without judgement, pressure, or expectation. Together, we'll gently explore your experiences, helping you make sense of what's been feeling difficult and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels supportive, meaningful, and sustainable.I believe healing doesn't come from pushing harder, it often begins when we feel a sense of safety to slow down, be met with compassion, and reconnect with ourselves.

You may have been carrying a lot. You don't have to carry it alone here. We don't need to rush. We can begin exactly where you are.
